Concept Lab: Volume VII

Concept Lab returns with one of most exciting shows yet!  Concept Lab is an exciting new exploratory music series featuring finished works, works in progress, improvised works and collaborative and multi-disciplinary projects in all stages of completion.

Created by myself and Will Rowe and run as a collective, Concept Lab is a showcase of the newest of the new and an exciting sneak preview of mainstays on the upcoming New York performance scene.

Volume VII features works inspired by a surreal sonic subway experience, the lifespan of insects, the concept of negative space in paintings, 5 and 7 beat rhythmic cycles in 18th century performance practice and an imagined soundtrack for a hallucinogenic video game. My piece is the one about negative space in paintings.

If that isn’t a great way to spend a Sunday then I don’t know what is!
